Cristina is from Vacariça and grew up with her hands always making something. Handicrafts have accompanied her since she was little and never let go of her. With the free time she does not spend in her vegetable garden, Cristina learns new techniques and finds new challenges. What sets her work apart is not only what she learns but what she adds, ensuring that each creation has her touch and cannot be found anywhere else. This is how her amigurumis, clothes for the first months of life and toys for babies are made. Handmade pieces, designed to be safe and soft, and special enough not to be forgotten in a drawer. Some follow patterns she found and adapted. Others come directly from her head, after someone makes her a request that challenges her. Cristina does not focus on mass production. She produces carefully, at her own pace, between the vegetable garden and the worktable, in Vacariça.
