The Beira Litoral lies between the Mondego and the Serra de Aire, with Coimbra in the middle. From here come the glazed faience of Caldas da Rainha, the tinned fish of Peniche and Nazaré, queijo do Rabaçal, and the artisan soaps that make use of the olive oil and goat's milk of the smallholdings. These are the producers of these coastal traditions, working on a small scale, with a practice that respects the original method.
