It is a municipality classified by Portaria 208/2017 as an interior territory, under Portugal's National Programme for Territorial Cohesion. There are 165 municipalities (plus 73 parishes) of low population density, the same list used for the interior tax benefits.

How do you know a producer is from the interior?

Each producer states the municipality where they actually produce (the studio, the workshop, the farm), not their registered address. If that municipality is on the official list, the producer appears here. It is a verifiable geographical fact, not a label we assign.

What difference does buying from an interior producer make?
