Products from Douro Litoral

The Douro Litoral is the mouth of the Douro and the strip running south to the Ria de Aveiro. Busy cities (Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Aveiro) with production that holds on, the moliceiros on the lagoon, ovos-moles (a sweet egg-yolk paste in a wafer shell), tripa enfarinhada (a thin sweet flour pancake), and the wine tradition that then climbs the Douro inland. These are the small producers of this stretch between the sea and the river, on the northern Atlantic coast.
