Products from Beira Baixa

The Beira Baixa lies between the Tagus and the Cordilheira Central. Cold winters, dry summers, wild flora in the Serra de Açor and the Pinhal Interior. From here come monofloral honeys of recognised quality, rosmaninho (French lavender), urze (heather) and eucalyptus, and the bordado de Castelo Branco, in coloured silk on raw linen, with plant and geometric motifs of its own. These are the beekeepers, cheesemakers and embroiderers of the region, some of them carrying the Saber Fazer Beira Baixa mark.

We have no products from this region yet. Do you know a producer here? Talk to us.
