Portuguese handmade ceramics

The clay of the Guadiana is red. The clay of the Caldas is white. Every Portuguese region has a clay of its own and a firing of its own, five centuries of know-how in São Pedro do Corval, glazed faience in Caldas da Rainha, figurative ware in Barcelos. These are the potters who still work the wheel, by hand, piece by piece. You will find bowls, jugs and plates for everyday use, and vases, sculptures and panels to keep. Every piece is unique, and small variations are part of it, not a fault.

This category is on its way, we are bringing producers on board. Check back soon.
